Ayam Tandoori

Ni ayam tandoori dgn roti naan yang saya buat semalam. Ayam tandoori tu memang sedap macam kat kedai !

1 whole free-range chicken, cut into pieces


Wet ingredients:

½ brown onion
3 garlic cloves or 3 tsp minced garlic
15g ginger or 1 tbsp minced ginger
100ml plain yogurt
½ tsp red colouring
2 tbsp plain water


Dry ingredients:

1½ tbsp turmeric powder
1½ tbsp chili powder (medium heat)
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tbsp ground cumin seed (jintan manis)
Salt to taste

METHOD

  1. Blend all wet ingredients.
  2. Mix dry ingredients with blended wet ingredients in a large bowl or ziplock bag.
  3. Marinate chicken with mixed ingredients for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 180?C. Place the roasting pan and rack in the oven while preheating.
  5. Bake chicken on the roasting rack for about 2 hours or until desired crispiness. Turn the chicken pieces every 30mins.
  6. Serve hot with raita and rice.
